Many of the companies we work with - both startups and established businesses - have never carried out any design research before.

Decisions about their products and services have been made by the founder, designers or developers, with varied success. 

Companies who come to us usually recognise that their current methods for growing their business or securing the success of their product aren’t quite up to scratch - either they’ve become lost in the weeds, or some approaches they’ve tried haven’t yielded the results they were expecting.

The first question companies in this position ask is, ‘where do we start?’

Growth workshop

Generally our advice is to start with a workshop that brings the team together to discuss and set clear goals. 

This workshop provides clarity and direction and typically also highlights some key questions that need to be answered before any real progress can be made. The next step is to answer those questions - with research.

Research packages

Through our extensive experience of working with a huge range of organisations, from the NHS to LEGO, to startups, we’ve developed two packages of research that, in a relatively short amount of time, provide a great deal of valuable insight. One package focuses entirely on qualitative research  - interviews with customers/user groups - while the other combines both qualitative and quantitative - survey-based - research.

Both packages include in-depth analysis, followed by detailed and actionable recommendations that will stimulate the next stage of growth for your business.
